My name is Justin Sellers.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with my career, I’d like to give you a brief recap of my journey in the sport of auto racing. I’m 29 years old and currently the warehouse manager at Plass Appliance & Furniture Company where I began eight years ago as a warehouse laborer. I believe in hard work, skill building and winning.

I was born into an auto racing family.  My father, Dave Sellers, raced at the Sycamore Speedway during the first twelve years of my life.  He raced in two divisions: Spectator and Late Model.  A successful racer who earned his reputation honestly, He is respected by his peers and fans.  It’s my goal to continue the path Dad forged inauto racing.

Here’s a quick overview of my experience and progress:

1999 through 2001 - I raced my original car at the Sycamore Speedway in the Spectator division, then Dad and his racing friends agreed that I was qualified to move up to the Late Model division.

2002 - I raced in the Late Model division and got a lot of seat time, had fun and received Sycamore’s “Rookie of the Year 2002" award.

2003 - A very rewarding season for our whole team; we finished the season ranked 12th in a field of 45.  I received the “most Improved Driver - 2003" award.

2004 - After working hard on our car in the off-season, we rolled out a much improved finished product. It made its debut and we completed the season ranked 14th in a field of over 60.

2005 - We proved to ourselves that we could be competitive. We started the season a little slow, but finished an impressive 6th placein a field of 50 cars.  We also received an award for “The Best Maintained Car” from Sycamore Speedway.

2006- Speaks for itself: LATE MODEL CHAMPS! Our hard work paid off as the team achieved the ultimate goal. It was an exciting and rewarding year.

2007 - It was a challenging year at a new track, LaSalle Speedway. We finished a respectable 7th place in a field of 20. There is no replacement for experience and seat time.

2008 - We tried our hand on the asphalt at Rockford Speedway in the NASCAR All American Sportsman division and adapted well. We turned out to be a contender. We finished our first year with a respectable 7th place for the season, and were nominated for the most likely to “MAKE IT TO THE BIG TIME” award..

2009 - This past season gave us plenty of experience as we continued to gain ground, finishing in 6th
place. For all of us – driver, crew and fans – our enthusiasm for the sport  continues to grow, and we
look foreword to a successful 2010 campaign.

My sincere thanks to the team, my family and friends, and our fans and sponsors for their help and support.

You’ve given me the opportunity to participate in a challenging and thrilling sport that I love and respect.

Join us as we prepare for what the 2010 season will bring.

Thanks for your support,

Justin Sellers
